The SimpliPro Colon™ test has been validated in patients at elevated risk for colorectal cancer.* The SimpliPro Colon test has not been validated in an asymptomatic, screening patient population, and is not a replacement for colonoscopy.

Who is an Elevated-Risk Patient?

Elevated-risk patients are those who present with symptoms associated with colorectal cancer. There are many risk factors for colorectal cancer and its symptoms can take various forms. The subjects in the SimpliPro Colon test development studies demonstrated one or more of the following symptoms:

  • Unexplained weight loss
  • Anemia
  • Change in bowel habits or consistency of stool, including diarrhea or constipation
  • Abdominal discomfort such as cramps, gas, or pain
  • Blood in stool
  • Rectal bleeding
  • Distension of the abdomen
  • Palpable mass
